Modelling from CAD or reference
Geometry built from CAD where you have it, or from spec sheets and comprehensive photography where you do not — with the accuracy implications stated either way.
3D Product Modeling & Rendering
Build the product once in 3D and every colourway, configuration and scene becomes a render rather than a shoot.
For ranges with many variants, 3D changes the arithmetic. A sofa in twelve fabrics is twelve shoots or one model; add a new fabric next season and it is another shoot or an afternoon.
The catch is accuracy. A render that is subtly wrong — a proportion, a material behaviour, a seam that does not exist — is worse than a plain photograph, because customers trust it and then receive something else.
StaffCloud models to an accuracy standard agreed against the physical product on a pilot, with material work that makes surfaces behave correctly and a review step specifically looking for the differences.
Geometry built from CAD where you have it, or from spec sheets and comprehensive photography where you do not — with the accuracy implications stated either way.
Surfaces built so fabric, metal, wood and glass behave correctly under light, which is what separates photoreal from plausible.
Listing, lifestyle and detail renders produced to each channel's specification from the one model.
Colourways, materials and configurations rendered from the same asset rather than remodelled per variant.
Renders compared against the physical product by someone looking for discrepancies rather than admiring the image.
Models and materials delivered as yours, usable by another studio or in-house later.
What you can supply and the accuracy ceiling that implies. Said at the start, because it determines everything after it.
One product modelled and reviewed against the real item, establishing the standard on something you can hold.
Range modelled and rendered, with accuracy review per asset.
Renders to channel spec plus source files handed over.
On the third variant, usually. On a single-variant product, rarely — and we will say so.
The pod works inside your stack. These are the systems this team uses day to day — if yours is not listed, we will learn it.
The things worth knowing before the first call.
Describe the workload in a sentence and we will point you at the right team — or tell you honestly if it is not something we should take on.
Ask usIt depends on the product's complexity and the quality of the reference material, so StaffCloud quotes per product rather than publishing an average.
An average across all product types fits almost nothing and misleads on both sides. The pilot gives you a real figure for your own range, which is what you need to plan a rollout against.
Often, though with lower dimensional accuracy than CAD data gives.
For soft goods and simple forms that is usually fine. For engineered products with tight tolerances it may not be, and StaffCloud will tell you which category yours falls into before you commit — rather than delivering a model that looks right and measures wrong.
With a good one, generally not.
That is exactly why accuracy matters so much here. A render customers trust, depicting a product that differs from the real thing, turns into a returns problem and a trust problem at the same time. The realism is only an asset if what it shows is true.
Yes, and it is a common use — scenes and contexts that would be expensive or impossible to photograph.
Worth checking your market's rules on how products may be depicted in advertising, since these vary by territory. StaffCloud flags the ones we know of, though the compliance decision stays with you and your advisers.
StaffCloud produces the assets and the render sets a configurator needs.
Building the configurator itself is development work and belongs with your developer or platform. Being clear about that split means you can brief both sides accurately instead of discovering a gap between them once the assets arrive.
The model is updated rather than rebuilt, which is a large part of the long-run value of having one.
That only holds if you have the source files, which is why StaffCloud hands them over. A supplier who keeps the sources can charge you to rebuild from scratch every time a product is revised.
