MAP Monitoring & Price Compliance

Know who is breaking your pricing policy

A MAP policy nobody monitors is a document. Enforcement needs evidence — which seller, which listing, which price, on which date — captured consistently enough to act on.

  • Violation tracking
  • Seller identification
  • Evidence capture

What this covers

Minimum advertised price policies fail at the monitoring step, not the drafting step. Violations are scattered across marketplaces and reseller sites, they move, and by the time someone notices the screenshot that would have proved it is gone.

StaffCloud runs monitoring as a standing routine: your products matched to live listings across the channels you name, checked on an agreed cadence, with violations recorded and evidenced at the moment they are found.

Enforcement outreach — the notices themselves — is handled where you want us to handle it, to your template and your escalation ladder. The legal position stays yours; we supply the evidence and the administration behind it.

What the team does

Violation tracking

Your products matched to live offers across the channels in scope and checked against policy on an agreed cadence, with each violation dated.

Seller identification

The seller behind a violating offer identified as far as the channel allows, so repeat offenders are visible as repeat offenders.

Evidence capture

Screenshots and offer details captured at the moment of detection, because the listing will change and the evidence has to survive it.

Enforcement outreach

Notices issued to your template and your escalation ladder, tracked through to response or non-response.

Violation reporting

Reporting by seller, by product and over time, which is what turns a list of incidents into a picture of who is actually the problem.

Unauthorised seller watch

New sellers appearing on your products flagged as they arrive, which is often the first signal of a diverted stock channel.

How the engagement runs

  1. 01

    Scope and matching

Your products, the channels in scope and the matching rules. The match has to be right first — a price comparison against the wrong listing is worse than no comparison.

  2. 02

    Policy baseline

Your MAP levels loaded and a first full pass run, so the starting violation position is known rather than estimated.

  3. 03

    Monitoring cadence

Checks run on the agreed schedule with evidence captured at detection, not reconstructed later.

  4. 04

    Enforcement and review

Notices issued where in scope, responses tracked, and a standing review of who is repeating and what is escalating.

Why the evidence discipline is the service

Anyone can notice a low price. Acting on it needs a record that was captured when the offer was live.

  • Violations with a date, a seller and a screenshot behind them
  • Repeat offenders visible as a pattern rather than as incidents
  • New unauthorised sellers seen while the trail is still warm

Questions buyers ask

The things worth knowing before the first call.

Not sure this is the right scope?

Describe the workload in a sentence and we will point you at the right team — or tell you honestly if it is not something we should take on.

Ask us

If you want us to. StaffCloud sends notices using your template and your escalation ladder, and tracks the responses so nothing is sent twice or forgotten.

The policy and the legal position remain yours. We are doing the monitoring and the administration around it, not advising you on the law — which keeps the work cost-effective and keeps your legal position where it belongs.

On the cadence you set. Daily checks on a core range are common for brands with an active diversion problem; weekly or fortnightly is enough for a stable range.

It is a genuine cost trade-off, and worth reviewing once you can see how quickly your violations actually move. StaffCloud will suggest a starting frequency and revisit it with you after the first few weeks.

As far as the channel exposes it, which varies a great deal. On some marketplaces the seller is named and traceable; on others you get a storefront name and very little else.

StaffCloud reports what is verifiable and does not fill in the rest with inference. A confident identification that turns out to be wrong is worse than an honest gap, particularly if you are about to send an enforcement notice.

They are in scope if you name them. Reseller sites and independent retailers are often where the harder violations sit, and StaffCloud monitors them alongside the major marketplaces.

They are agreed per engagement because each site needs its own product matching set up. Scoping them explicitly means you know exactly what is being watched and what is not.

No. This service watches other people's prices against your own policy and tells you where they breach it.

Competitive price tracking on Amazon is a separate service, and neither one sets your prices for you. Pricing depends on margin, stock cover and commercial strategy that sit inside your business.

Through a matching step that is completed before any monitoring begins, using rules you approve. Every tracked listing is tied to a specific product in your catalogue.

When a match breaks — because a listing changed — it is reported and re-verified rather than silently carried forward. A monitoring report that has drifted produces confident nonsense, and decisions get made on it.
