Shopify & DTC Store Management

Your store, run daily, by people who know it

A Shopify store is not a project that finishes. Products arrive, stock moves, a collection needs rebuilding for a season, an app update quietly breaks a template. The work is small, constant and easy to fall behind on.

  • Named, in-house team
  • Your hours, your tools
  • Store, apps and email

How the store is run

Most DTC teams are two or three people doing everything. The store gets the attention left over after the campaign, the supplier call and the customer who emailed twice. That is how a store ends up with collections nobody has curated since launch and an abandoned-cart flow that still mentions last year's offer.

StaffCloud runs the store as a standing function rather than a series of projects. A dedicated pod works inside your Shopify admin on your hours, with a written process for each recurring job — product onboarding, collection maintenance, inventory reconciliation, the email calendar — and a named lead who owns the outcome.

The five capabilities below are how that splits up in practice. Most clients start with store and inventory work, because it is the part that hurts first, and add the rest as the pod earns the ground.

Capabilities

One team across store, apps and email

The people uploading products are the people who know why the metafield exists and what the flow sends. Splitting that across three suppliers is how stores end up inconsistent with themselves.

A documented process per task

Product onboarding, collection rebuilds, stock reconciliation — each written down before it is staffed, so the work survives a holiday and a second person can pick it up cold.

Daily rather than monthly

Stock accuracy, broken links, failed syncs and app errors checked on a daily cadence. Small store problems are cheap on the day and expensive a month later.

Reporting you can forward

A weekly note covering what shipped, what is stuck and what needs a decision from you — written to be read by someone who was not in the thread.

How the engagement runs

  1. 01

    Store audit

A walk through the store as it stands: catalogue state, stock accuracy, app stack, theme customisations and what is quietly broken. You get the audit whether or not you engage us.

  2. 02

    Process capture

The recurring jobs written down with your rules and approval points, because that is what makes the work repeatable rather than heroic.

  3. 03

    Pilot period

A defined scope run for a few weeks so both sides can judge fit on real work rather than on a proposal.

  4. 04

    Run and extend

Ongoing operation on an agreed cadence, with scope added as the pod proves it can hold what it already has.

What clients are actually buying

Nobody outsources store operations for fun. They do it because the work has outgrown the founder doing it at eleven at night.

  • Coverage that survives holidays, illness and resignations
  • A store that stays tidy without anyone remembering to tidy it
  • One team who knows the store, not three suppliers who know part of it

Questions buyers ask

The things worth knowing before the first call.

Not sure this is the right scope?

Describe the workload in a sentence and we will point you at the right team — or tell you honestly if it is not something we should take on.

Ask us

StaffCloud handles theme configuration, settings and content — the work of making an existing theme present your range properly. Our team works within what your theme already supports.

Custom theme development, bespoke Liquid and app building are engineering jobs that belong with a development partner. We name that boundary before starting rather than learning on your store, so you are not paying us to find our limits.

No. StaffCloud works under staff accounts that you create through Shopify's own user management, with only the permissions the work requires.

We do not ask for shared logins, and access is scoped rather than blanket. You can see who has access, change it, or remove it at any point without interrupting the work in progress.

Only for what is technically possible, not for whether StaffCloud can help. Plus adds Scripts, Flow and multi-store handling, which widens the options available.

The daily operational work — catalogue, inventory, content, campaigns — is the same shape on either plan. We will tell you if something you want genuinely requires Plus rather than using it as a reason to upsell.

Yes, and it is a common arrangement — an agency on paid media or design, StaffCloud on day-to-day operations.

What matters is naming the overlaps explicitly at the start, so neither side is quietly assuming the other has something covered. Half an hour agreeing the split at the beginning saves a great deal of confusion later.

Then an audit is the useful first step, and a more honest one than a proposal written without looking. StaffCloud assesses what is actually there before quoting.

Cleanup and steady-state operation are different sizes of job, and scoping them as one thing is how an engagement fails in month two. You get them priced separately so you can see what each is costing.

Not as part of these services. Customer support is a separate line under our BPO offering, because it staffs differently and needs its own shift coverage.

If you want both, they are scoped together but run as distinct functions with different people. That keeps your store operations from being interrupted every time the support queue spikes.

There is no minimum worth quoting, but there is a point below which hiring a part-time person of your own is simply better value than an outsourced team.

If we think you are at that point, StaffCloud will tell you. Turning down work that does not suit you costs us one engagement; taking it costs you a year of paying for something that never fitted.
